Terms of Service

1. What this is
Conduit links a WhatsApp account to an application of yours and forwards messages between them over an HTTP contract. It is infrastructure. It is not a messaging product for end users, and it is not a place to store conversations.
2. Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account and under the tenants you create. Keep your password to yourself, turn on two-factor, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has got in.
3. Your numbers
You may only link numbers you control and are authorised to use. If the number belongs to somebody else, such as a colleague's personal phone, a company's customer line or a shared device, you need their permission, and we may ask for it.
4. Acceptable use
- No bulk messaging, no unsolicited outreach, no marketing lists. The gateway refuses to send to a number that never wrote to us first, and it caps how much one number can send in an hour. These limits are not advice; they are in the code.
- No using the gateway to send anything unlawful, or anything that breaks WhatsApp's terms, or that targets children, or that harvests personal data you are not entitled to.
- No reverse engineering the gateway's protections, and no attempts to evade WhatsApp's ban systems.
- No reselling the service as-is. Build on it, do not just wrap it and charge people for the same thing.
5. Unofficial linking, and the risk that comes with it
Conduit links numbers through an unofficial client. WhatsApp does not permit this, and a linked number can be banned, with no appeal and no warning. We cannot prevent that and we cannot reverse it.
By using Conduit you accept that risk for every number you link. The sensible precautions are simple: link a number you can afford to lose, tell the people who use it what is happening, and do not put your most important number on it. If you need a number that will not disappear overnight, use the official Cloud API with a dedicated number. The contract is identical, so moving is a change of container, not of code.
6. Availability
We aim to keep the gateway running, and we do not promise that we will. A linked number can be disconnected at any time; when that happens the gateway tells your app, and your app should stop nagging people. We are not liable for lost messages, lost numbers or the consequences of either.
7. Payment
Every account starts with a free trial. After it, plans are monthly, billed in advance and priced on the pricing page. You pay by Airtel Money, email us the proof of payment, and we switch the account on. You can cancel at any time. We never take card details.
8. Ending it
You can delete your tenants and unlink your numbers at any time, from the console or by asking us. We can suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why. On termination we delete your tenant configuration and the linked session, and we keep your account record only so we can identify you if you come back.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability under these terms is the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost business or lost data.
10. Changes
We may change these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email at least 14 days before it takes effect.
